On the one hand, art is art, right? Every expression of feeling, imagination and thought can be said to be art. Poetry, photography, drawing, painting, dance, song, cooking. But where do you draw the line? When do you yell, "Enough!"? Is it when you go into a museum to find a line of pencil framed and hanging on the wall? Or when someone's dirty dishes are on display? How about when a crappy snap shot sells for millions?
I think the real way to determine art is with how much effort and thought was put into the piece. I think that when there's no effort, and very little thought, it's just all silliness. Even simple pieces of art require us to use our brains and to put a small amount of effort into it.
And there's my ramble for the day.
Devious Comments
For example, nobody could drop a bucket of paint on accident and create the mona lisa.
